UPDATE ON JUNE 10, 2019: Everyone interested in marching should indicate that they are “interested” or confirm they are definitely participating or “going” on the Facebook event page. As the numbers approach 600, we will work with Heritage of Pride and those signed up to allow as many people to march as possible. If you do not use Facebook, feel free to reach out to the Event Planning Committee by e-mail here.

UPDATE ON MAY 29, 2019: YESTERDAY, HERITAGE OF PRIDE CHANGED THE FORMATION AND STAGING LOCATION FOR OUR SECTION/GROUP IN THE PRIDE MARCH. WE ARE STILL REQUIRED TO REPORT TO THE STAGING AREA BY 4PM, BUT OUR LOCATION FOR STAGING HAS CHANGED. SEE NEW DETAILS FOR THE CHANGED LOGISTICS BELOW.

We have marched in every pride march since our team was founded in 1990, and we are proud to march for the 29th time in June 2019 in the biggest pride celebration in the world during WorldPride/Stonewall50. The march steps off at noon, but we are not staging in formation for the march until 4pm (see details below).

This year, Heritage of Pride, organizers for NYC Pride, have capped our contingent at 600 marchers. TNYA members and IGLA 2019 registrants will get priority for registration for the march.

The pride march route has been lengthened, but will start and end below 34th Street (see map below).

Our contingent “Team New York Aquatics” is in Section Number 8 and the 8th contingent in that section. All marchers should report to East 32nd Street between Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue by 4:00pm (Fifth Avenue will be completely closed to foot traffic, and 32nd Street will be closed off to through vehicular traffic with restricted access controlled by the NYPD for marchers and vehicles with permits from Heritage of Pride; all marchers should enter 32nd Street via either Madison Avenue or Park Avenue). Our group leaders must check in on West 33rd Street between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue (entering on Sixth Avenue). 34th Street, Madison Avenue, Park Avenue, and Sixth Avenue will remain completely open to the public for foot traffic and vehicular traffic without restriction. See formation and staging map below.
