Shachar comes to TNYA all the way from the south of Israel where he grew up and first learned how to swim. He won the national title and was a part of the youth national team for two years until joining the military. Shachar started swimming again when he attended college in the US – finding his way to TNYA. Today Shachar is a regular TNYA swimmer, water polo player, and a lead performer of the synchro squad. You can also find him coaching at Sacred Heart on Saturday afternoon, coaching the synchro team or biking along the Hudson River.
