Erik grew up in the Pacific Northwest, swimming summer league and for his high school. He then headed off to American University in Washington, D.C. where he swam sprint freestyle and breaststroke. During the summers, he coached summer league swimming the Maryland suburbs just out of D.C. These days, you can find Erik coaching and swimming at TNYA practices at LIU. Outside the pool, you may see him running, biking, or playing flag football in Prospect Park. In the winter, he never misses a ski season, and all year round he’s an avid home brewer and long time tech enthusiast.
