Dante Fuoco’s first foray into swimming was at age five, when he picked the “don’t try” group at YMCA swim lessons. He got more courageous from there, competing nonstop as a swimmer for fifteen years. He swam countless five a.m. practices with his club team in suburban Pittsburgh, worked as a lifeguard for many summers, and twice qualified for states as a captain of his high school swim team. At Swarthmore College, his training in all strokes and distances propelled him to the conference top ten list in both breaststroke, IM, and butterfly. The 200 breast is, and always be, his favorite.
Having taught special education in New Orleans for years, Fuoco strives to create versatile, dynamic practices that provide all swimmers with what they need, no matter speed or experience. He has coached and swum with TNYA since the summer of 2018. He is also an actor, writer, and comedian.
