Brian has been swimming since he was 8 years old. He competed as an age-group swimmer and through college at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, but took a long break before joining TNYA in 2003, and these days he’s predominantly a fitness swimmer. Because of that, he takes seriously his responsibility to design workouts that are balanced for competitors and noncompetitors alike — “so that everyone can get something out of them,” he says.
When not at the pool, Brian runs his own dietary supplements business and is a strategic marketing consultant.
