As a masters aquatics club, our organization and its members are governed by the national governing bodies for our four disciplines:
These national governing bodies provide general guidelines for our operations as well as insurance coverage for our operations and our members. All of our members and coaches are required to have active memberships with their respective national governing bodies to participate in our programs. In 2021, Team New York Aquatics is an official USMS club, USAWP club, and USAAS club, which status can be verified through the national governing bodies. Unfortunately, our diving program is not an official USAD club as our diving practices are not operating at this time. For general information about our diving program, visit our diving team page.

Team New York Aquatics is a member organization of the International Gay & Lesbian Aquatics Association, which is a member organization of the Federation of the Gay Games. Team New York Aquatics also has informal partnerships through the NYC LGBT Sports Network (also known as Out of Bounds NYC & Team New York) and engage with the rest of the local LGBTQ+ community and aquatics community with our community building and community service efforts.
